I'm running a basically stock studded 6.0 as of now.

I'm wanting to go bigger w the sticks& turbo....but can only do 1 at a time.

What would be my best option? Bigger injectors w OEM turbo or bigger turbo w OEM sticks?

Go with the turbo first, as long as youre not goin with a huge charger stock sticks will be fine. Big sticks on a stock charger will run hot and smokey

Depends on the size of injector, usually 190's or less you can have the fuel pulled back to get you by. Over that, you'll really need a turbo to be useful. It wasn't too long ago that 190's and an 03 turbo was a popular combo.

But I would say get the sticks first, then a turbo.

I did a turbo first, but it was not a huge upgrade and it was forced (stocker went tits up) and I still don't have sticks. If you are gonna do injectors I would do the fuel system too. But as stated before you can do either one,

All depends on what sticks your gonna run and what turbo your gonna run.... If you looking 175-190s fuel system would be a good idea....

I was thinking on 190s...but stock fuel for the time being...

I'm still learning about after market turbos....

What would be a simple but efficient drop in turbo for my 06...vs the OEM charger

Look into mad turbo werks. They have some drop in turbos that would be a good option. I would look at the stage 3 with 190s.

with stock injectors an 03 turbo works really well, and maybe one of the new billet compressor wheels on the market.

from what ive experienced with a powermax on a stock injectored truck i wouldnt waste the money.

keep it simple unless youre trying to get every last hp out of the stock injectors.

Like I said earlier...I'm going to end up w sticks and turbo...just can't decide which will be beneficial to do first. I don't have 6k to drop at one time on it...and another thing I've got to keep in mind...I'm still running the OEM trans as well...

IWanna bump this...

I've been looking at various injectors online...I are some are build from new and some from remans.

Obviously the new are more expensive. Is there a big benefit over buying modded remans?

As far as turbos go I think I'm set on an mtw prolly stage 2....it looks to be an easy swap as i think it uses the OEM mounts and flanges...am I right?

HUGE benefit buying Ford reman injectors that are modified. All the high wear parts that are known to fail or start to slack in their job inside the injector are replaced in the oem reman process. Would you want injectors that are built of 400k mile old cores, modified into larger injectors and sent to you, and you send your cores back? Depends if you think its worth it to be pulling injectors all the time to replace them because they started sticking or an o-ring blew out from shims. I used to be all for modding cores, i have a set in my truck right now, but you will always have issues one way or another, believe me after 5-6 times of replacing them with another used core built injector you get sick and tired of it.

Rule of thumb, think hard before deciding on what you want to do with the truck. Buy injectors first, be wise on nozzle size and have it conservatively tuned while deciding on what charger suits your needs. Hopefully my post has some value to you.

if you can only do one...do the injectors first. This is what Eric at Innovative Diesel had told me years ago. Its easier to tune. I ran 190's with my stock turbo for over a year with no issues. Many others have done the same also. You'll be absolutly fine with going with injectors first...I wouldn't even worry about the size. Fuel can be pulled with tuning

I was thinking about 190s...that would allow more for later and more charger options

If you are heart set on the MTW stage 2, don't go over 175cc injectors, the cfm on that charger won't fully clean up anything bigger. It will work with the stock injectors in the meantime, assuming that's the charger you want.

Do you have have an ultimate power goal? You should really have one of those and just buy the parts once and be done, step by step is expensive.

I was thinking somewhere around 500 rwhp. I want to be able to play and tow efficiently and safely...

155's and a stock charger are a great setup. My dad has hat and it town great and I'd guess it to be 480-500hp

I dk...500hp on the stock turbo is few and far between...with proper fueling I might could see 450-460

I made 436hp on stock sticks with egr in place..... I bet 475 wouldn't out of the question. I installed powermax and 155s today along with my egr delete. Once I get Matt to right me some new tunes ill let you know how it runs

if 500 is your goal the MTW stage 2 should do it. My buddies truck (work truck/plow truck/dd) Just made 515/975ish on 175/75's not even on the right tune and almost 100% smokeless. Pretty solid setup if thats what you're looking for...

If 500hp is your goal I would go bigger then 175/75's. If you think you will want more later then maybe the 190's, but depending on how you driving the stock trans won't survive long with 190's and a matching sized turbo.
