New Intake Manifolds

Well after about 10 hours of cutting and grinding I have 1 intake base done. Here is what it looks like.

and bolted to the head. This should flow some air.

Your using ice cold water in that cooler then? Obviously no water leaks. Should be interesting though.

Ice water is used when pulling. will just use water run through a heat exchanger when needed.

Just got the intercooler back with new elbows and V flange welded in.
The flange has a O-Ring in it to help seal.

It all works, I will be installing it over Thanksgiving.

You'll be glad you went that route.

Do you plan on adding any additional supports to that cooler?

Might get heavy when its full of water.

YES IT DOES FIT

and here it is in the truck. Everything is still just tacked together. Now I know it fits and its time to burn it all together. That was the easy part. Its all the little things that takes forever.

Ya it is a little tight. But it fits.

You may want to think about using another cooler also. Thats a small core to be using with twins and 50-60 psi.

I am running a air to air in the front of the truck. Its from a twin turbo mustang.

Thats how I am combining both turbos. The intercooler may look small but it's 4 inch thick and in the middle of the grill for good air flow.
The water to air is mostly for pulling when its hot, Not a lot of air flow at MPH.

thats a BA setup. that intercooler is pretty small though it seems. will it be sufficient enough?

I am also using a air to air in front of it. Using it for pulling.

yeah i seen that small air to air too. i was just curious as to how sufficient it would be. all the water to airs ive seen were a lot bigger, and that small of an air to air cant do that much can it?

When I specked out the coolers the # say It will. I don't tow with the truck, so I am not really worried about it. If that cooler is to small, I still have the bigger cooler that I had on it before, I could modify it and use it. Time will tell.
