Welp, it's been awhile since I've had much to report on the build due to parts hunting and neither J.D. or I having anytime to work on Capone buuuuuut the last couple weeks there has been a good amount of progress.Originally, the plan was to do the fuel system and suspension work first before J.D. dove into the interior of the truck but we ran into a shipping issue with DJM. Somehow they managed to forget to package some of the parts necessary for the rear suspension setup so this is about as far as it's gotten lol

J.D. however did get the short bed conversion done and buttoned up. Laid the final welds and put in the reinforcement plates last week.

While he was in there welding, we decided now was the time to weld up the axle tubes for extra insurance at the track

So since we were short pieces for the DJM kit, he decided to move onto the interior of the truck. Focusing on getting the cab floor, roof, back wall, doors, pillars, and firewall all covered with Raam Mat's three stage kit. Still got a bit to do but it's good progress!

Soon as the sound deadener is laid in the cab, the dash is coming out along with all the interior plastics. That will give JD room to get the firewall covered and the carpet guys to do their magic with the floor. Also toying with the idea of doing a black suede headliner in the truck, still undecided. Once the plastics are out, everything for the most part is getting dyed black. Should flow well with the Corbeau stuff I think
Also, picked this up on ebay the other night for $250. Which is an easy $100 cheaper than I have ever seen them go for

So right now, the main focus is suspension, finishing the interior, and building the fuel system. Which BTW, after playing musical fuel tanks for a week or two(Thanks Dustin and Eric, btw!!), we ended up finding a short bed tank out of a 6.4 in Denver so it should go together easy. Still gotta get traction bars figured out. Roll bar. and some other odd's and ends. Soon as everything is wrapped up with that stuff, it'll be on to my favorite part of these builds... the motor build.... and then paint
