Hello all! I recently purchased an 06 F350 King Ranch. I have wanted something with a King Ranch interior for the past 10 years. We moved out in the country last year and we continually found the need for a truck. I decided on an F-350 King Ranch. A 2004-2006 6.0 was in my budget of $15-20k. After doing research on 6.0s I knew I wanted something that was already bulletproofed. I found my truck for $16,000. Hopefully this was a decent price? It has 139k miles on the clock with documented(have receipts with matching vin) only 20k miles on the longblock from J&K Engines in TN. ARP studs, EGR delete, SCT 3015 tuner, 6 inch lift(I think?), 37 on 20 Nitto Mud Grapplers with unknown brand aftermarket wheels, and an Aurora turbo. So far I changed to 35 inch Nitto A/T tires, purchased some replacement leather pieces from Richmond Upholstery in Houston(good price, great customer service), and installed a double-din touchscreen. I'm new to the powerstroke scene. I look forward to participating in the community and welcome any feedback.

Thanks!

Welcome!
Yeah thats a good price i sold my 2006 6.0 with 172k miles not studded for 19,5.. XLT model also

Thanks for the confirmation. I beat myself up about what I paid for a few weeks after buying it. Never imagined I would spend that kind of money on something with 139k miles. Again I'm new to the truck scene. I searched around some more after the purchase and everything in this condition/year/miles is going for $20-22k so I felt a little better. I take meticulous care of my vehicles so hopefully it lasts me 10+ years.

Welcome! Good looking truck! The only thing I would change is the exhaust.
Thanks for the feedback! You would change it for aesthetic or performance reasons?

Meh... if it does the job I'd leave it. Most of the trucks I've owned have all had exhaust dump before the rear wheel. Only downside would be more of the truck covered in soot depending on how smokey it is. I think it looks fine!

Just for appearance and to keep the truck clean. Mine exits in the stock location behind the rear tire and if I don't clean it on a regular basis the edge of my rear bumper and the bottom of the quarter panel get black with soot. I'll probably change mine to dump out just behind the rear axle.

That's a good deal if it was studded right. Time will tell.

All powerstroke engines from J&K have ARP studs installed. They seem like a reputable company. Anyone have experience with them?

Just cause theres arps in there doesn't mean anything. I'm sure the engine has a warranty though and if it does I doubt they'd cut corners.

'09 2.0 same as you pretty much. It's getting a dpf delete, Malone stage 2 tune, and timing belt hopefully before TS May 30th

Thanks you all. I'm planning on upgrading to an 08+ tailgate and bumper. Possibly a ranch hand front bumper. The lift in the rear is just two blocks stacked. Seems unsafe. Also, the shocks are worn out. I may just order a complete 4" lift kit for it and replace the cheap 6" lift on it. My wife is pregnant so I need some nerf bars/ running boards that hang lower so she can get in when she is further along. Any suggestions? I want to por-15 the frame, get a spray in bed liner, and use some rubberized undercoating on common rust areas. I noticed a lot of these trucks rust on the rear fender wells. Any other problem areas I should protect? Other than the above I am very happy with the truck. Probably will get flamed for this, but would like to eventually convert it to a vegistroke.

I've got a BFT V3 and love it. come over to their forum for more info. I go by the same handle over there.
