New truck ac not cold

Hello all.
Just picked up my first 6.7, a 2016 350 with 100k miles.
It’s an xl that’s in absolutely great shape.
It was already derreted.
Got it home and immediately leveled it and swapped my ‘10 lariat wheels from the obs on it, put sotf tyrant tunes on and got a set of 35x12.5s.
I have noticed an issue with the ac though.
It blows cool but not cold.
Fan is functioning, compressor is engaging and pressures are near perfect.
Looking into the temp sensor in the evap core tomorrow on the snap on scanner to see what it shows.
I have heard this is a common issue.
If I have to pull the dash I’ll make sure the evap core is clean as well.
Are there any other issues I should look into?
Maybe the dryer on the side of the condenser?

How does airflow out of the vents feel flow wise?

Plenty of flow and I have not noticed a cool/warm variation

It may be the ac pressure sensor as well. Ive done a **** ton of those. Its by the air box, little 3 wire sensor. Typically it'll set a code that decent scanners will pick up, dont remember what it is off hand, something like a p0540 or soemthing like that.

I have a snap on scanner so I can see about everything.
No codes.
I’ll look into it further tomorrow and see if there are any readings out of range on the sensors.
Can a clogged dryer cause something like this?
I’m still not understanding the new design on the condenser

I had almost the same problem on my brother's truck, pressures were right on just not getting cool. Pulled out the dryer and it was trashed.

I think that’s my next step along with pulling the dash and cleaning out the evap core.
I still can’t believe ford does not have cabin filters...

Replaced the dryer/desiccant and filter on the side of the condenser with no change.
Next step is pull the dash.
Evap core temp is 35 ish at idle and the blower blows as it should.
Most likely the evap core is slightly stopped up.
Yay...

The dash pull really isn't that bad. I did one about 5 years ago. Iirc it was the easiest of all the year models

It takes an hour or so.
Not terrible.
Still, I hate interior work.
I’m going to pull it as early as next week when I have time.
I’ll keep y’all updated with what I find.
But it’s my best bet after replacing the broken vent louvers, as there was dirt inside of them.
I mean shi... this was a west Texas truck... caliche dust and dirt everywhere before I got my hands on it.
Nearly turns to cement when it gets wet.

If you have good airflow out the vents then I don’t think the evap core is you issue. Especially if the evap temp sensor is reading 35 degrees. Possibly blend door isn’t closing all the way or something has it hung slightly open.

My 2018 F-350 that I bought new in 2019 had a problem blowing cold air. Would blow for a few seconds then quit. They (Ford) had to install a new compressor under warrenty. The original one was not operating for some reason. They couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. Said they would just send it to a rebuild shop. John

If your evap. temp is 35 your AC system is working. If air volume out the vents is good then the only other thing it could be is a blend door not sealing and allowing heat from the heater core into the air stream.
