Ok yall quick question just installed a 38r up pipes new pedestal and new boots so I doubt I have a leak but my truck won't boost past 25 psi. I have a boost fooler and I forgot to mention that to my tuner could that be why my boost is so low? I'm on stock injectors running gh tunes.

Make a boost leak detector and check for leaks but 25 is probley about right with that amount of fuel im sure someone with the same setup will chime in soon.

Ok I wasent sure it doesn't really feel like it's lacking much power just takes a little longer to light and when I'm laying into feels like it should pull a little harder.

I think most guys crank the waste gate down on those 38R turbos. They come set conservative out of the box.
25 is prob not far off on stock injectors mind you .
Crank the ajustment rod on the waste gate should make a diffrence

Ok I'll see if that changes it. Will not telling your tuner you have a boost fooler affect it much? Was going to try unhook in that and seeing if it changes anything as well?

On stock sticks all the way up to 180's you should be able to tighten the WG down so that it doesn't open. I ran mine that way with my 180's with no issue and maxed out around 37 psi in my highest tune setting at the time.

I got 175/80 and don't get me wrong I really like them.
But there's always been a side of me that wishes I went 238/80 hybrids just for the fact they use less hp oil.

I like my 175/80's also. Tows great and is a fun street rig. Nothing crazy fast but surprises people from time to time.

Kinda wish I had gone with a 238cc to begin with. But honestly cant complain. Truck runs awesome and does what it needs to.

For your 38R, I recommend the stock wheel over the WW2. Much more bottom end power. But I hear the D66 billet wheel is a good improvement if you plan on upgrading at some point.

Everyone says I wish I woulda just went bigger so I think I'm gonna do hybrids maybe even 238 with a smaller nozzle. I use it as a weekend warrior. Never really haul much more then a 20 ft trailer with a few quads and all the gear on it. Sometimes a 25 ft boat wich weighs about 10 thousand plus. Use it to go from about sea level to way up to my house in the mtns. So I also use it for most all vactions I take.

Oh and btw yall just got off the phone with gh they said it's because of the boost fooler can't use one on a SD with their tunes only on an obs. All my diesel buddies keep trying to talk me into 238/100s but I might try the 238/80s I have pmrs in my truck right now tho no p rods or springs and stock studs as far as I kno bought it modded.
