i just pay a local shop, for what he charges me and what my time is worth plus the waste disposal.. it all washes out for me.

I have never been one to trust shops to do my oil changes. I am sure they will all do it just fine, but with our trucks oil is crucial. They may not put enough, they may not tighten everything down, or they may just reuse the filter. You never know unless you are watching them.

And, I like changing my oil LOL It's nice to hear my engine tell me "Thanks JBone, I needed that" LOL

My engine told me! Got 20mpg today! Yeah it was all freeway, but thats not bad for a lifted, 4x4, auto, going the 65, with hills, and CA fuel..

Yeah, I am at about 14 mpg right now. I hate CA winter fuel LOL

I get 14 average tank-to-tank all the time.

CA summer fuel sucks too. At least in the metropolitan areas. Dunno where you are, but I get Los Angeles fuel with always sucks. The metro areas get extra additives for smog reduction and it hurts economy. :fustrate:

EDIT: See youre in Oakdale. Doubt you get metro fuel.

Yeah, fuel isn't too bad around here, but it is still CA fuel. The best fuel mileage I have ever had was while running on Nevada fuel.

^ Thats what I'm sayin... CA fuel sucks.

I filled up a few hours ago.. This was VERY tempting.. 40 cents cheaper...
