Ok. So I sold my 05 F150 CCSB on Monday. Tonight I put a deposit down on a 2008 F250 CCSB 6.4L. I will be flying out on Monday to pick it up.

So I'm aware of the issues with 6.4s and know a little about the basics....like DPF/EGR deletes and etc. I will post in the correct sections and discuss that later after I read some more. Just wanted to say hello and I look forward to being here.

Welcome to the site! just bounce around a little in the 6.4 aftermarket section, read up on some peoples builds and youll see what things people go with/do first, scroll through the pages and youll see frequently asked things that youll pick up on. Try getting an H&S tuner and get some custom mcc tuning by one of the vendors here once you do the deletes. I love my Gearhead custom tuning. Goodluck with the truck!

Sweet! I thought it would be a Job 2 or 3 from the build date. Another guy told me the same thing based off the chin spoiler.

UPDATE???? How was the flight and trip back?

The flight left here at 1am Vegas time and landed at 5am Dallas time. I was at the dealership at 9am when they opened. The truck is in mint condition. There isn't a single scratch on it anywhere. After a test drive, signing papers and etc. I was on the road around 11 pm TX time. I drove all the way to ABQ, NM to stay at my dads. It just happens to be perfectly halfway. I crashed there after being awake for 40 hours straight. Drove the rest the next morning at got home at 6:30 pm. The truck performed flawlessly. I was very pleased with how it rides on the hwy. 1,200 miles later and now wifey is extremely happy. ;-) The truck will be her daily.

Now to go make some ramp extensions for my trailer to get load the GTR on it. I have a half mile event this weekend down in Bakersfield, CA. I will post pics later in the week of the truck and it's first pull job. When I get back I plan to start the search for a tuner and delete kit.
