Possibly, lived in Branchville my whole life. Used to work at Valley Mason, and hung around the Wantage area a lot before I moved to VA

For like two months. It was black for like a month before the wheels and before that it was white.

I do remember seeing a black SD rolling around. Think I saw it in the pre and post green wheel stage. I used to roll around in a whiter cherokee on mud tires with everything blacked out, didn't really stand out all too much
