I have a Ford 10.25 Sterling axle that I was building for my last truck I just sold. It was out from under a 1996 F350 single wheel truck.
I converted it over to disk brake using the following link:
fordmann.com | F-350: Sterling Rear Disc Conversion
What I did also was pick up a Blue Torch Fab axle truss and diff cover combo. The plan was to us the axle truss to build a traction bar that would up high and out of the way.
I don't need this any more and here is what I have invested.
1996 Axle - $125.00
99 E350 Disk Brake Brackets - $100.00
Axle Truss/diff cover - $345.00
Brake rotors (NEW) - $57.78 each - $115.56
Brake shoes (NEW) - $18.67
Brake Caliper (NEW) - $77.49 - Core Charge - $46.67 - $124.16 Each - $248.32
Brake pads (NEW) - $54.02
Here is what I have spent on this axle - $1006.57.
I was going this direction as I wanted to keep my king pin front Dana 60 and this gave me the 8 on 6 1/2 bolt pattern.
Here is what needs to be done to finish it. The axle needs gears and carrier, which I was going to pull out of the axle under my truck. It also needs all of the welding finished (I can have it done here, but it will cost me)
I will never get everything back out of this axle, but I would like to get what I paid for new parts.
I would let the axle go for $750.00 and the buyer pays for shipping or picks it up here in Wichita, KS.
Thanks
