Any injector size can be turned down to live with whatever fuel system you have. You do want to watch fuel pressure. It your fuel pressure drops low enough it can cause damage to the injectors. Typically it scores the plunger and barrels and you have to pull the injectors to be rebuilt again. I still haven't installed an electric pump yet and I have 350cc/200% injectors they are just pulled back with tuning. The stock mechanical system only supports short of 400hp from most of the dyno results I have seen. There is dyno video of a OBS with mechanical fuel with 200/30 hybrids and he also was just short of 400. That being said E fuel is still a very good upgrade.

Thanks for info. So with what your saying there is no real need to go higher than 1.5

Do you plan on upgrading the turbo, fuel system, hpop etc? I would take that into consideration. If you don't plan on breaking 400 hp then a 160/whatever nozzle will likely do what you need.

sub'd means I am following your thread.
I'm in exactly the same boat as you, starting to upgrade my truck and I'm not sure where I want to start, I need inj's but I haven't decided if I want to go past 400hp due to all of the supporting Mods, mainly turbo and trans. I am only going to be buying inj's once, so I need to decide where I want to be in the end.
I don't remember, do you have an intercooler yet? I have one but haven't installed it yet- It will be going in this spring.

I will add this:

With stock injectors, stock fuel ,new pump, shimmed regulator to 75 @idle. My fuel pressure would dip below 30psi on a wot pull. It made 20psi boost at that point.
I added efuel and it picked up 5psi boost. Then the t500 and it made 30 psi completely burning clean with a 50 hp tune. On the rollers it made 201hp and 365tq.

Why spend 12-1900$ on stix to ruin them with such a failure prone stock system?
Do a DIY system or buy a good one and have your injectors to the job correctly for a long time.

Agreed. E fuel does not cost that much if you build your own kit. I only have a mechanical pump right now but I did remove the fuel bowl for a spin on filter and aeromotive regulator. I have a couple of SD pumps and I plan to setup a single SD pump to act like a booster pump triggered when fuel pressure drops or pedal position is over 50%.

I recall old man Dave saying that he went from 397 with 160/100s to 408hp after adding Efuel and that the Torque curve was much stronger.

The gsl392 has been great for several years and holds pressure on a pull.
I don't think I would want that much potential for failure.

It's deff more fun than a 7800lb should be.
