I am looking at a set of aftermarket wheels that were on a 2002 F250

They are 17" but that shouldn't matter

The issue is
This guy is telling me that my 1995 F350 has a 8x6.5" wheel

And his are 8 x 170mm

Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

PS
I think he is wrong about the width on my wheels
I always thought the stock Alcoa wheels were 7 inches wide

Thank you for any input

He is talking about the bolt pattern. Yours is an 8 x 6 1/2” bolt pattern and the super duty is 8 x 170 mm.

He is 100% correct. The only way they will fit on your pick up is with a spacer that converts the lug patterns.

Ok
Thank you.

Sometimes you never know who you are dealing with.

However I did check mine
And the lug spacing is in fact 6-1/2

So since I have you on the horn

What are your thoughts on mounting a 315 tire on stock Alcoa 16 inch wheels?

315 on stock wheels is done all the time. Run lower pressure or the center runs low.

Good to know.

Id like to get a taller tire since I lifted the truck 4"
I have 31" tars on it now.

Im thinking 35-36" would fit and look a little better.

Just curious

Where would I go to buy say,
A 10" wide x 6.5" wheel ?

That will fit the obs and I can mount a 36 inch to 38 inch tire ?

I did a quick search online but doesn't show too much

So you want a 10” wide wheel that is 6.5” diameter?

I’m guessing no. But if that’s how you’re searching, then no wonder google can’t help...

I’m guessing that he is referring to a 16”x10” wide wheel with 8x6.5” bolt pattern.

Of course I am

But that understanding would take some common sense on stroke off ace's part.

Some guys think they are know it alls.

Bless your heart! I will take the compliment! Lol

I knew what you were looking for, because I have common sense. Apparently your common sense and mine are not the same thing if you couldn’t find any results from searching it!

Wheel pro, custom offsets, hell, even the online tire stores like tire rack.

You definitely want to go 315s. I put a set on my old 97 obs with a 351 gasser in it. Looked ***in amazing with the factory alcoas.

I found a set of pro comp 17" wheels
9" wide.
Came with 35x12.50-17 ta mud's
Tires are half gone
For the price I'm gonna run them for a while.

I looks of things I think I could probably stuff 37 inch super swampers under there
Whoop whoop
10-4 good buddy ...

I'm not crazy about the 12.50

Seems like nobody makes a 9 inch wide tire anymore
I thought super swamper used to but it looks like 10.5 inches in a certain variety.

Tall/thin as what I'm looking for.

You won’t fine a standard measurement tire that thin. Have to go metric. Which is probably like a 265 or 275.

Yeah
Way too small
315 = 35" give or take ...

265 tire is roughly 31-32" tall

My perfect tire would be
37x9.50-17
Or even 37x 10.50-17
