wondering who anyone runs a large wastegate on a big single obs.
what all had to be done to the firewall?
pics?
going to buy the wastegate uppipes from jake.
76mm billett wheel precision comp housing for GT4202R with a .98 exh housing.
running 350 200s.
how big should i go for wg?
bigger then 46mm?
i know tuners can tune for not having a wg but i think .98 is going to be a handful with these sticks.

i know its a really small housing for the sticks and that i may be forced to change it but i really want to try it out. mabye.
trying to make up my mind on that.

like junkie said to me, that poor, poor turbo lol

time to get busy putting these on

Maybe so but its still a 42 frame and most have the best luck and drivability with the 1.01 housing.

I'd say run it before you worry about a gate. Housing swaps on single turbo setups can make the biggest difference in over-all performance before a gate will, IMO

pulling as in towing or sled pulling?

i will be occasionally towing as well. not often.
32' enclosed car hauler.

does anyone tow with the 1.01?
mabye gating the .98 would be a good idea with that in mind?
as stated before i know its mostly in the tuning, just wondering.

just called precision about the 1.01 and they only offer the .98, 1.12, 1.28.
what sponsors sell the 1.01?

Go ahead and try it with the housing on it. I just got done putting a wastegate on an obs with a s400 on it and irate mount that doesn't have a provision for one when it was originally made...it wasn't too hard to add one, and I don't even know how to weld

The 1.12 was a total phucking dog it was not streetable at all. You want to stick with the housing you have now. The 1.01/1.15 are garrett brand housings the one you have (you obviously know, but for clarification) is a precision housing.

there is one on your truck factory you can read it with a data logger or buy a boost gauge 0-60 and pipe it in cooper and be allset
