Official Scheid's Diesel Extravaganza hotel thread

Myself and vanderchevy18 are in highland il with a e99 350 tow rig that lost all power all of a sudden. We are thinking fuel pump failing. Icp and everything looks good. No codes. We are stuck in the walmart parking lot. If anyone can think of anything it might be please post up or call. 316650one0six3

Well we settled on a plugged pickup screen. We swapped out fuel pumps with a spare and it made no difference. We had to leave the 350 in Illinois in order to make it to scheids in time. We will go back tonight or tomorrow and blow out the screens and lines and clean the tank best we can. Does anyone have any good tips to clean it well enough to get us 700 miles back to Kansas? Thanks for those of you that called to offer suggestions and help.

Yes big thanks to him. We are putting the newly clean tank in the f350. Going to fuel it up after this then get some sleep. We are leaving at 7 to make the 200 mile trip back to Scheids. Been up and going since 4am day before yesterday. Chris and I both are running on about two hours of sleep a piece.

Big thanks to the douche that thought they could be funny and take both the hood pins out of my truck while it was parked at the hotel Friday night/Saturday morning.

I got up Saturday and ran down the road to Walgreen's to get some stuff, started back toward the hotel on Rt. 41 and my hook came flying open and destroyed my windshield!! Hood is fine, luckily I didn't cause a wreck with anyone else. I got off the road ASAP closed the hood and secured it.

Thats why I just really don't even want to go. TS is bad, but not near as bad as Schieds. But then again, I've only been to TS this past year, and I think the weather had a little bit to do with the DB's not being there as bad.

Apparently a guy we were next to got his 2008 f-250 tailgate with the back up camera stolen off his truck too. I mean wow! Then I guess there was a riot in a parking lot and police had to use tear gas.

I think i read that on CompD, its how they broke up Burlington. Tear gas and the little rubber bullet things.

I wonder if they'll be allowed to have it next year after what went on this year. :shrug:
