Well, on my way home I came across a new GT mustang on a long three lane stretch who was playing with me. Of course having just got my truck back together I played along and raced him (to the 55mph speed limit of course). Anyway, as soon as I let out of the throttle I knew something was wrong because it bucked a few times and then started bucking and missing rythmically but very, very badly. I limped home and checked my ts livewire for codes. Nothing. I returned to stock tuning and drove around town and still - nothing. Still bucking and missing like crazy especially when engaged in overdrive. Seems to still run ok as far as performance just feels like its going to come apart till it gets rpm's up. Here's what I know:

Ficm staying at a steady 48v
Starts like butter when hot
ICP reading stays at 28-30 at idle through WOT
Fuel pressure is steady at 60-70psi and it does NOT have any remaining components of the factory fuel system.
No puking or coolant loss
Truck has brand new Warren injectors, garrett turbo, head gaskets, head studs, egr delete, wiring harnesses for engine/injectors, maf and map sensors are new, hpop, valvetrain is new, etc... esrntially the only things i did NOT replace were the block/rotating assembly and the icp/ipr sensors. (Yea yea i know im going to catch flack over that).

So heres a question for those who have had ipr/icp failures - do those readings sound normal to you? I've never been fortunate enough to have datalogging capabilities until recently so I'm not sure what to expect there. If it isn't the culprit what would be next? Cyl contribution test shows good no issues so i can assume it isn't a no compression issue i think... Opinions?

What icp is reading 28-30? Nothing should read that at udle through wide open. If that's the ipr valve percent then that's no bueno. Unplug icp sensor and see if it still bucks

Heres a short video i just ran out and took. Its at 3/4 - full throttle its struggling to build boost and this time icp duty cycle fluctuated much more than earlier. Doesn't seem to be bucking as much just waaaaay down on power almost feels like a dead injector to me... You should be able to hear the miss at idle and through the pull with the volume up. Think it could be a valvetrain issue? I can't pull the icp tonight because i have to work early in the am, but i will try that tomorrow evening and report back.

I'd say it's you icp because your getting really odd readings in that video. I think I only saw a 1.1 at the highest.

I think .70 is the highest i've gotten on the display. What should the normal duty cycle be at wot? Either way I will pull and replace tomorrow just because. I'm not usually a fan of part replacement "just because" but on my personal I need it to be as problem free and dependable as possible and it's one of the handful of things i haven't replaced yet on this build.

You mean IPR duty cycle right....not ICP? ICP isn't measured in duty cycle. And IPR goes way higher than .70...or did you mean 70%?

Well thats what I thought too but the PID reads ICP Duty Cycle. Maybe i need to read more into that and see which one its measuring. I bet its reading IPR duty cycle.

OK here's a screen shot with my phone that Eric at ID posted in an old thread about ICP voltage and psi. I'm not sure what MPA stands for tho.

Do you have the ability to data log with the livewire to help us see what you got going on? What year is the truck? The icp sensor is right there at your fingertips on the 05-07's.
