Well, on my way home I came across a new GT mustang on a long three lane stretch who was playing with me. Of course having just got my truck back together I played along and raced him (to the 55mph speed limit of course). Anyway, as soon as I let out of the throttle I knew something was wrong because it bucked a few times and then started bucking and missing rythmically but very, very badly. I limped home and checked my ts livewire for codes. Nothing. I returned to stock tuning and drove around town and still - nothing. Still bucking and missing like crazy especially when engaged in overdrive. Seems to still run ok as far as performance just feels like its going to come apart till it gets rpm's up. Here's what I know:
Ficm staying at a steady 48v
Starts like butter when hot
ICP reading stays at 28-30 at idle through WOT
Fuel pressure is steady at 60-70psi and it does NOT have any remaining components of the factory fuel system.
No puking or coolant loss
Truck has brand new Warren injectors, garrett turbo, head gaskets, head studs, egr delete, wiring harnesses for engine/injectors, maf and map sensors are new, hpop, valvetrain is new, etc... esrntially the only things i did NOT replace were the block/rotating assembly and the icp/ipr sensors. (Yea yea i know im going to catch flack over that).
So heres a question for those who have had ipr/icp failures - do those readings sound normal to you? I've never been fortunate enough to have datalogging capabilities until recently so I'm not sure what to expect there. If it isn't the culprit what would be next? Cyl contribution test shows good no issues so i can assume it isn't a no compression issue i think... Opinions?
