I just wanted to share a little about some of the stuff I do when I'm bored at work. I just wanted to try something new to see how hard it would be to do and if it could be done. I by no means think that this intake would work better than the ones from absolute, or go go. Just something I wanted to try, and put on the truck, since I think alot of the members know I like to think out of the box.

What if I took a 6.4 manifold and converted to a 6.0 manifold. I know the stock 6.4 flows more than the 6.0 stocker so why not? The runners of the 6.4 manifolds are basically about 1/4 thick or less, and the runners on the 6.0 are at least 2 inches thick. So now there is almost no runner at all and bam into the head ports, also the intake of the 6.4 holds more volume. So should be a fun experiment. Here's some pictures of the work so far, might have it done in a week or two depending on how busy I get at work.

Give me your opinions on the project if you think yes it would work or no. I'm doing it anyway but I like to hear everyone input, and why on either way.

Thank you and I'll try to keep the maddness going.

How are you going to get the intake elbow lined up? They don't sit the same on the two manifolds.

This is why I say "carefully". LOL

IDK he may just trim the shroud some  He'll have to chime in.

I got ya man and it's definitely a legit question. This was just my poor attempt at humor LOL because I honestly don't know what he has planned for that yet.

I put the two manifolds together and the trick is to, keep the flange and elbow short as possible. One thing I will do is either cut th 6.4 flange and weld one for a 6.0 elbow, then install a 04 s&b elbow which is shorter then 05-07. I think might be good for clearance, also working on the coolant passage.

You don't need that cooling passage. I have coolant reroute kits that will take care of this for you :D

route it to the bottom of the tank,or plumb it into the heater hose.

This is what I say too. In fact I think it would be cool to route it from the oil cooler to an IPR high flow coolant filter and then return it to the bottom of the degas bottle.
