If you are going to put dye in a HEUI motor for oil leak diagnosis, it's a good idea to change the oil before adding the dye, and use a LOT of dye, will make the leak easier to spot with the clean oil.

is the puddle in the front of the motor under the hpop in the valley or behind the intake spider in the valley?

Mainly behind behind the intake spider but there is some just behind the HPOP as well. We checked all of the HPOP lines but didn't see any signs of a leak. Going to delete EBPV and replace pedestal o-rings as well as the o-rings on the bolts that plug the rails in the top.

ok, was just gonna say more then likely pedestal orings... ebpv orings can do the same.
