What should oil pressure be while cranking? Can I prime the high pressure side with the engine on a stand?

It will be 0 till the lpop builds pressure. After that it probably depends on how fast your starter is spinning the motor. You can fill the hpo rails and the hpo reservoir on a stand. Make sure and dip the oil pump gears in oil of apply a little assembly lube before install to help it prime.

It's not a fresh build, I pulled it cause of no oil pressure. It has a new millings lpop. Some how a peace of plastic got sucked up and caught by the screen. I'm hoping that was the issue and theres nothing else! Thanks for the info.

You wont build any high pressure without electricity acting on the IPR. The HPOP will spin and move oil however piss it all out of the IPR back to the crankcase unless you have the wiring harness/pcm all that stuff hooked up. In which case it would eventually start up unless you have the injectors unplugged.
