I installed my OUO Traction bars today and really have to give these guys some praise. What a great kit they've engineered and put together. Very high quality parts. Great instructions. Packaging is excellent.

I got the weld in kit with long gussets. Took about 3 hours to install with a buddy that has a shop.

I'm not sure if it's just me but the truck seems to ride better. If anyone has any questions, post up. I'll put up some pics later today.

OUO traction bars and DIY traction bars shouldn't be brought up in the same thread. LOL

If you search around there is plenty of info about them out there already.

I'm picking up my 38ft trailer in a day or two so it will be very interesting to see if my low speed shudder goes away with these.

Shudder is prolly coming from carrier bearing if you have a 2 piece drive shaft. It probably wasn't coming from axle wrap. I live all the sets of ouo bars I've owned , and was pleasantly surprised the last month when mine showed up with black couplers. But I kinda like the silver ones.

I thought the shudder was axle wrap too but mine still does it if I come to a stop slow. If I get on the brakes pretty hard it doesn't do it

i love mine. it was a 4 hour process

1 1/2 hours to un package them

1 1/2 hours to cool off from being so damn pissed that the packaging was never ending

1 hour to install lol

had mine for about 6 months now and wont ever build my own set again. These are hands down worth the money and will be on every truck i own.

Is the shudder on take off? If so it should go away, if not you may need to space the carrier down a bit more.

It could be from both, just depends on when it is happening.

How much is your carrier spaced?
