Picked up a 17

Back at it again.

This time some interior love.

Pulled the door panels apart to remove the inserts and pull handles, dash pieces, console and air vents.

I'm stuck on two things. How in the hell do I get the sliding console piece out and for the life of me I can't get the damn air bag to pop loose. I've been fighting it for two hours and it won't come loose. I can get it to move up but it just won't release.

Helps using the right tool to remove the air bag. Snatched it out in about a minute this am.

IIRC there are some torx head screws holding it in. You gain access to them once you remove the centre console piece which I see you already have out.

Got everything back from paint and started putting together.
Almost time for an audio upgrade.

I had a spare set of these laying around and wanted to see what it took to do these new heads. They're horrible to pull apart and not make a mess of.

I'll upgrade to LED later this year and have Plain and Simple work them over.

Finally got around to starting on the underside LEDs. Trevor at PMF also got me fixed up with his fabricated four link bars to match the traction bars, just need some time to paint them.

One of my vendors hooked me up with these rock lights from Heise. Pretty legit light output. This is just 12 . I have twelve more enroute to hopefully take care of the dark spots. Excuse how dirty it is.
