We'll, so here's the story. I have an edge evolution programmer for my truck and I had it set to extreme mode. Came home one night and parked my truck. Came back outside about 2 hours later and reprogrammed it back to stock. Fired right up and was backing out of my driveway and it started to get the romps badly. Pulled it back up and it was still loping and finally died. Started right back up but continued to lope. The truck began to kill itself each time I would go outside to start it. It runs for about 30 seconds then kills itself. If I try and rev it up it will cut out and and instantly die. Tried replacing the cps, no good. Scanned for codes, got nothing. No check engine light. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. The truck ran like a champ up until I reprogrammed it back to stock. Truck has 310,000 miles.

Thanks guys! Oil was a couple quarts low. And I'll try reprogramming it back to extreme here in a few. It has been surging a little at idle which brought me to the icp. Oil is on the tip of the plug, but I unhooked it and it helped the surging, but still dies.

I reset it back to stock and and that's when it messed up. Would I need to take it somewhere to have it flashed or what?

I also heard that these edge programmers are junk and like to fry pcm's. Not sure if it smoked mine or if that's even a possibility.
