PMF comes through again

I made some drop brackets for my brake lines a few weeks ago. Not pretty but functional since the front is at 3" lift with stock hoses. Trevor had other ideas...and this box showed up at the office. I'm hoping to find some time late this week to throw them on. Once again PMF customer service goes WAY above and beyond.

Did you really feel like they're that necessary, or is this ocd taking over? I'm at 3.5" and still with the stock lines and brackets. And it's been that way for a long time now.

A little bit of both for me. The lines were too stretched for my taste and just didn't look right. I've always been a fan of braided lines too.

I put those on my last truck and was not impresssd. One of the back ones blew and although the outer coating is for looks it did not last long. Crown said the outer jacket would crack in extreme cold so I guest it just crumbles up north. On this truck I used the ready lift brackets where you flip the square portion that mounts to the frame.

I got crowns from CARLI and the coating is splitting already, my old truck had SDHQ lines that were perfect for years. This is in AZ as well.

No blown lines though, that is odd.

Looks good! Hopefully the coating doesn't split.

Huh, I was not aware others had cracking issues as well. Glad to know im not the only one; i do hope your last as thry sure do look good.

I don't think I've ever had the outer coating last on a braided hose. lol
The set I put on my Ram I just split it and took it off....I thought the bare hose looked better. LOL

Can't beat the look of a braided hose. I got the clear ones from Trevor. And the coating cracked so it got removed haha

All the coating is supposed to do is keep fine particles from getting into the braided steel and wearing on the inner lining. I agree with the concept but I have to wonder how big of a problem that really is on a street driven vehicle.

I finally had time to install yesterday. I added the rear axle caliper hoses...OCD and all that.
Install was straight forward and a pneumatic brake bleeder made it even easier. The only hard part was the hoses from the frame to the rear axle...the top of those is a really hard to reach spot.
Pedal feel is much firmer for sure...braking just felt better all around. These are well worth the effort.
I know the hoses are hard to see...and everything is filthy. Gimme a break...it won't stop raining around here.

The support bracket they sent for the rear caliper hoses would have required drilling and tapping a new hole. I decided to modify the OEM bracket instead.

Not much to see here..bu.t there are 2 hoses in there somewhere.

That rear bundle of wires and brake lines in the back are a OCDs nightmare. I'm always worried I'll melt them with the dual exhaust but they're fine.
