Hey Everyone, I Hope someone has come across this or maybe know what can cause this but I just picked up a 97 F350 crew cap with about 180K miles on it and the last owner has had 3 power steering pumps replaced since the first of the year and I had to replace it again last weekend, "I went to turn out of a parking space and the truck died I started it back up and i herd a pulley hit the ground", since then the pulley has shifted about 1/4'' off the shaft of the P/S pump, i check the other pulleys and they are free spinning and i check for a crack in the bracket of the P/S Pump but could not find one, could the water pump cause this issue? or is there an alignment issue the the other pulleys

Thanks for any help

These pumps suck, well that's my opinion. They never seem to work well. I am converting to the 6.0 pump with remote reservoir. I have tons of oem brackets and pulleys if you need one.

If the pulley has been on/off so much this year I think the pulley might be wore out. The power steering pumps going bad seems to just be the nature of the beast with aftermarket pumps.

Cmon, don't tease us! I need to buy a new pump in the next few days. I have 260k on the original, still going strong, leaking though. Probably ought to just reseal it with a Gates kit. But what did you develop? How much fab?

Wondering if you have any part numbers or if I'll be able to use the same pulley and belt? Also if you have any pictures of how you modified the pump bracket to make it fit? Worn out a few pumps and need to figure something better out.
