Hey guys,

So, my Dad was coming home the other night and blew a line on his power steering pump. Thinks the pump was weak anyways but running it for a few minutes without fluid has caused it to become non-functional...

A reman pump is $97 without the reservoir and $150 with... He wants to just change the pump. How do you pull the reservoir off the pump and do you need a puller to get the pulley off? Is the small bolt holding the pulley reverse thread or normal?

Any help is appreciated. He's 9 hours away from me and I'm stuck at work so I'm trying to help him out over the phone and figured I'd ask for a line from the experts!

You need a puller for the pulley, and i believe the reservoir unbolts from the back. Oriellys has the puller to rent .

If the superduty is like a typical ford the reservoir slides right off once you remove the large pressure fitting. It is just sealed with a large O-ring.
