I've had the same thought too. Our 2007 Mustang has auto up/down on both sides and I wondered if it would be as easy as a switch change or if there was more to it. I never really went any further than that though.

I had this thought also. So I pulled the switch panel out of the Mustang & the SD's door and they are not the same. Not saying that you couldn't make them work but it's not a simple plug & play operation. I really like the auto up & down feature on the Mustang. Not sure why Ford would do this for one vehicle & not the others????

Is there more wires in the drivers side switch? Why would Ford put rear A/C vents in the F150 in 2004 and not in the new design in 2008 but wait til 2011?

I didn't count the wires & it's been a few months since I pulled it apart so I don't recall fully but, the Mustang switches (from the bottom) and wire harness was much smaller in size compared to the SD's. I would have figured that they would use the same type switch in all their vehicles, not the case. Just an fyi the Mustang is an 07 and SD is 2010. Don't know if any other years would be different???

ohhh yeah that thing. Do all trucks have them? I know my F150's shop manual showed where it was and I could never find it. Tore it apart never saw anything that looked like it.
