Ive never even heard anyone mention that in a 7-3 in three.or four years, lol.

Last year the guy on here ( can't remember his name) hooked me up with some rev x for mine . I had 3 bad injectors and it wouldnt start at 60* unless it was plugged in. Bottle of.revx and I could take it down to 30* and no more romping...

sent while trying not to JJ My rods!!!!!!

just because they passed the buzz test doesn't mean they are good! bein that they are side by side cylinders i would check the wiring harness very closely inside and out, while you have the covers off watch the oil returns and just go ahead and manually measure the injectors

The truck idles fine, then has a miss at 1,000 rpms and blue smokes, then clears up. But as you're driving it steadily runs worse and worse then you can lay it to the wood and the speend falls while the rpms stay at 2,000 before it finally shuts off.

And how do you manually test the injectors? Soory I'm such a noob lol

All HEUI engines are susceptible to stiction.

Most of our big trucks at work have it. Big internationals. 466's And the like.

I realize.that. Have you heard about it in a 7.3? This is the second time for me. Ive only put 425k miles on 7.3s and never SEEN it. One truck.had original injectors at 255k too.

Im listening. I wanna.see.what happens.

i personally have never seen stiction in 7.3's, usually if oil is that dirty the ipr will have problems first typically with oils such as cen-pe-co

I don't get it though, I change my oil about every 5,000. Sometimes sooner.

I'm waiting to get my hands on the scanner again so I can moniter icp and ipr before I go tearing too much stuff apart.

Someone told me it could also be hpo..

First test the exhaust manifolds with an infrared pyro for cold cylinders or an entire cold bank.

If I ever take the vc off, I just start it and watch for cycling of all injectors. I dont trust electronics. lol

I did pyro. #1, 2, and 3 were cold. #1 and 3 were like 88* after 5 minutes idling, and #2 was 155* where the rest were like 200-ish
