Programming a key fob

So as I sit here in the cold trying to program a new key fob using http://www.programyourremote.com/classified/DisplayAd.asp?id=505 I can't even get my locks to cycle.

What am I doing wrong? LOL

id like some more info on this too. My truck has power door locks and windows and is an xlt, but when i bought it nobody had a key fob. wonder if a key fob will work with mine?

My truck is the same, no fob and bought one off amazon but I can't get the truck into programming mod LOL

It tells you in your owners manual how to program a new key fob.

Thats the problem, they aren't cycling after I do the key cycle.

And yes the buttons do work.

My buddies truck is the same way now. 03 f250 lariat, I programmed a key fob to it a month ago, and he got a 2nd one for a backup the other day and his truck will not cycle the locks after you hit the key 8 times. Lock buttons work, original key fob works, etc.

When you cycle the key to the on and off position 8 times, are you doing so within 10 seconds?
Just did this on my Navigator last night. Locks didnt cycle until I tried it the fourth time, so Im thinking I was too slow the first times...

I set the timer on my phone and I've done it in like 5 seconds, slowed down and did it in 9 seconds....

Owners manual says to cycle the key 8 times from the 3-4 positions and on the 8th stop at run and the locks will cycle.... So far nothing.

GEM ever changed?? maybe try a program for a truck a year older..it is possible you dont have keyless enty...

No clue, and honetly I'm not gonna change out the gem... I spent $3 on the key fob. I don't have to have it so....
