Some people are resource rich... cash poor. Others are the opposite. Some like myself have enough money to pay for parts. Lack the money for labor, but have the skills to do the labor my self.

I see where its going. I do feel the title is a bit misleading for someone who would want to go out and pay someone to do a build. This is a backyard scrounge what u can and make the best of it kinda build

Best of luck ...

Buy the truck from a company in Louisiana for $3200 with a blown oil cooler and 202,000 miles on it. Pay $700 to have it shipped. Fix engine and sell it for more then what the truck cost. Sell automatic transmission to buy airdog. Buy a 6.0 engine and manual tranny for $1500 that was taken out to swap in a cummins and have it shipped here from Oregon. Sell the running 6.0 motor to pay for the double disk clutch. Take the other 3 blown 6.4 motors sitting around the shop and make those into one running engine. Add fuel, lots of air, wastegates and some time on the dyno and see what the outcome is.

That is super complicated. LOL

Good luck with the build guys. Seeing how easily and cheap Craig got to 890 HP with his truck, I don't see it being a problem.

Not going to lie....I have sold quite a bit to pay for parts. If your on a tight budget, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Who has 3 blown 6.4's in the corner??? some one paid for them. The whole thing was just a little misleading. Good luck with your project.

i just see this as a personal build so the cost means nothing.

i see what erik is saying. you drive up and hand a bag of cash with 10k and want a 08-10 superduty TD to do 1000hp was a bit misleading like others had said, but im curious to see the outcome. good luck

The title of the thread is not misleading. It's an interesting build to see how simple and cheap big power out of a 6.4 can be. Results will come soon.

Step one: massive amounts if fuel.

Can we assume one of Jeremy's ported intakes will be on there?
Any upgrades to the heads?

I plan on making more power and spending more , but I don't sell my parts usually. I think this is a cool project, I just wouldnt put a price tag limit on it , just let us know results and cost. I keep driveability as #1... I'm looking forward to this, although at that cost it probaly won't be pretty LOL good luck Jeremy.

this actually seems like a pretty legit build I do the same thing. I sell parts off to offest the cost of the build. by doing this I have 1200 dollars in the 2008 front end conversion on my truck ( with cervinis and aftermarket grille )....on to the project, what turbo setup, fuel setup are you doing on this truck? pretty excited to see the results.
