Ive been working on a project the last few months I thought I would share. Its not diesel but I feel there would be a lot of cross over here. Its a 1967 f-250 4wd highboy. Started life as a f-100. I used a 1973 highboy frame that we had. took off the axles and leafs. Front axle is a 1993 f-350 dana 60 with king coil overs. Rear is a 1975 dana 70 with soft ride leafs. Engine is a 428 cobra jet with port fuel injection. 6r80 trans with married np205 transfer case.

Here is a build video. Ill post pictures as well.

I’m running the same fuel injection setup on a 460 in my Lincoln. How do you like it?

Yeah using the us shift controller. The adapter kit is from Bendtsen's Speed Gems. Its listed as an AOD adapter but will work with the 6R.

I think you just solved the problem in my quest for a lock up converter and overdrive for my lincoln. Thank you.

Double the OD's with the 6r!

I'm currently changing up the trans in my 07 expedition. When I did the 4bt conversion I went with an m5r2 manual.....going back to the original 6r.

If you haven’t watched the video I’m undecided on what gears to run. I have 4.10 in the front and the rear axle is 3.73 so I’m undecided on what axle I’m going to change over. The trans has 2 over drives so that makes me think 4.10 but I’m also only running 32” tires so that makes me think 3.73s

Also think that I’m not going to be driving this truck 70+ and I’m planning on doing trail runs with this rig. But I plan on putting a e locker in the front so If I go 4.10 I’m rebuilding both diffs.

We booked an overnight pass on white rim road in canyon lands national park in Moab in November and planning on taking this truck.

You also have low range in the transfer case if needed.

At 70mph you should be turning 2080rpms with 4.10s in 6th gear. With 3.73s, you should be 1890rpms. That's using the Garage Buddy App, 0.69 for 6th gear, and a 32 inch tall tire.

That all looks amazing. You did the exhaust similar to what I did except I ran a 4” in dual 3” out magnaflow muffler. You might want to get rid of the three bolt junk on the collector completely I have never had good luck with it. I also built mine out of old Super Duty parts as well. LOL

I used a Remflex gasket on it (same ones we use on the mustang) and hoped for the best. Headers are ceramic coated and didnt want to mess up the coating.
