Figured I'd toss it on a good loaded dyno to try some different tunes and to solidify whether or not I was out of turbo.

The results were conclusive, I'm out of turbo, but the 64mm held its own!

1st pull was a low fuel tune just to warm up the turbo and get the blanket soaked.

2nd pull, and the best, was a much bigger tune but still pretty conservative on timing.

3rd I threw the fuel at it, and made less.

4th I plain just let it eat on pulse width just to see, and lost even more power.

Happy overall with the dyno in it's ability to load the truck very hard, because it likes it.

The dodges had a real tough time because the load was so high it was snuffing out the turbo. Many of them ghetto fogged to get them lit..

Boy would I like this setup in a RC. How's are the tranny's in the 11-14's holding at 650hp? From what I can tell, yours isn't built is it?

Great numbers by the way!

John, very nice results. I've been reading thru your install thread which leads me to this question, the #'s in this post are those with the spool turbine housing or the sport housing??? I would think it would be with the sport housing but was hoping for a confirmation.

And thanks for your very detailed threads for us other guys to learn from!!!

This is still the spool housing.

Well that's certainly good to hear. I'm in the process of building a 6.7 for towing my 48' gooseneck race car trailer and was looking to make the same power and torque you dynoed.

So as for as it spooling up, you figure it's something that would satisfy guy's who's main concern is towing but having 650ish HP on tap is a nice bonus???

I tow 10k 5th wheel just fine. I even pulled some fuel and timing out of it down low just for safety. It can light very very quickly.

I'm in the process of building an F450 with an air suspension at all four corners. I'm ditching that damn ruff ass riding rear leaf spring suspension and replacing it with my own custom fabricated four link suspension. Doing this mostly to soften it up for a decent ride quality while not towing. I purchased a 6.7 complete 2011 motor along with the 6r140 trans and transfer case. And like many 2011 6.7s it dropped a valve. But it's perfect as I wanted to replace the wimpy stock 6.7 rods for some that'll hold the torque level I'm shooting for. I've already purchased the 2015 heads and Mahle pistons are next on my list. I'm not building a race truck by any means, but these damn oil burners are just as addictive as the race car hobby I enjoy!!!!

Here's a link to my little home built twin 88mm drag car I've been working on....

It's an LS base engine, looking to make right around the 3k hp range. At that level gotta go with billet everything and that **** ain't cheap by any means!!!!

Anyways, I do appreciate you sharing your results and they are very encouraging to say the least!!!!

I have the same setup with out dual fuel as Cain. I tow a 30 Foot boat, a 6 place enclosed, and a 38 foot Toy Hauler. Two weekends ago I took the tow hauler on a long trip up into Island Park ID. There are some very long steep grades and the truck performed perfectly. When I get the truck into 5th gear and running 2100 to 2500 RPM it will just rip up the hills with EGT's well in check.

How much later than the stock turbo does it light? Also, when cruising at 60-65mph on flat ground in 6th does it struggle to stay on the charger?

Thanks for the feedback from someone pulling with their truck.

Small world, I've followed your vette build on YB. I have a twin 70mm 416ci ls setup in an 05 gto. I run 275x class.

I've been more than pleased, and impressed, with this setup from H&S. Oem quality cast parts take all the what-ifs out of the equation when traveling the country with a trailer in tow. My egts are so on point sometimes I flick the minimaxx screen just to see if it's locked up!

Even dumping the fuel to it on a highway pull (no trailer ) I still can't get it over 1360°, and that was with 3.31s on 35s. Now with the 3.73s, she's cool as a cucumber. I'll be going to a larger turbo eventually, hence the gears.
