im more worried about the gallons used vs actuall... not even close...

I just switched to the tow tune, I'll watch it closer next time I fuel to see how close it is. Mine was off about 3 gallons on the last fill I believe. I think the gauge is still accurate, its just the digital display thats off on what it thinks it used.

i guess i figured the gallons used where tied into the fuel level gauge but obviously not.. so that means i got 14ish mpg at 80mph this time driving home from buffalo.. had a huge headwind tho so im sure my mpg is still close to the same as it has been before deletes.. im running the hot tune from rudys/punch it.

my trip from home back to buffalo after Christmas i got 25mpg and that was 400 miles on a half tank of fuel ao that was way closer to being right but this time its way off.. lol

I'm confused. When I look at the pic you show 430 miles driven and 23 used. That = what is show for 18mpg.

What am I missing here?

Ah. Gotcha. Weird. So if you filled up with that how many gallons did you put back in?

I gotcha. I had to go back and reread. Interesting. I don't guess I've ever compared the gallons used factor before. Since you said that I filled up tonight since diesel will be $10 a gallon in a week or two with the refinery workers striking. And I just happen to reset my tripA.

just stopped at the ford house.. got some coolant. which is orange coolant for those of you wondering like i was.. got some vc12 additive also but the parts guy said theres no sense in getting it cuz they have never added or sold any of it but i said *** it anyway.. prolly add a dab when i top off my coolant in the morning...

they also havnt heard of the issue i am having with the gallons used so im thinking its reading off the pcm and the tune is making it read like its using less fuel like all the lie o meters do after they are tuned so i guess im back to writing down and hand calculating my mpg.. it has always been within a half mpg bit now itz no where close... gonna pull the tune and reload it to see if that makes any difference...

just went through the sct and i dont have a stock file with delete.. i have tow, street, street firm, performance, and extreme... i ahould prolly post this in the 6.7 aftermarket section.. the gallons used truely acts as if i have a small shortbed tank..

so maybe i dont have a tow tune.. i programed the tow tune and it acted like i returned it to stock and killed the truck shortly after i started it and it wont restart so im thinking its blank.. no biggy. ill put it back to performance or extreme and leave it..

Winter fuel seems to screw with my fuel gauge. Not sure if that's what you're dealing with too. Summer time the gauge acts normal. Yesterday I was at 3/4 tank on the gauge and I put just over 12 gallons in it. Maybe you're dealing with something like this and the computer is confused.
