Well, you guys convinced us. We're moving forward with the 6.0 Radiator. The 6.0 is very similar to the 7.3 so it should be pretty straight forward. We'll get started after the New Year and should be good to go by the end of January.

Thank you for all the compliments. The 6.0 Intercooler is underway as well.

Peter

Can you tell me the difference between a 6.4L radiator, and a 6.0L?

If I don't want the internal transmission cooler, can you make thr radiator without it?

Could I run a 6.4L in my 6.0L truck?

How thick are the cores?

What are the actual measurements of the 6.4L radiator you make?

Thanks.

First of all the 6.4 radiator is GIANT by comparison. The hose connections are different, mounting locations, etc. It's about 45" wide! I do have a prototype unit that is a little too big that I could make you a heck of a deal on :D
I think it would take a lot of work to get it in if it would fit at all. Here's a couple of pics of the 6.4.

Also, why would you want to eliminate the internal trans cooler?

I'd rather have one that fit....oversized, but still fit.
I just pulled mine out this evening, and they look like you could easily make them thicker. (Looks like they are a 3 core, and could be made into a 4)

I don't want the internal cooler because I am moving the external cooler all together, and using an electric fan out of a Lincoln Mark VIII.

One less cooler in front of the intercooler, and radiator...less heat transferred to the intercooler, and radiator.

Also, my truck will never see winter ever again.

A good internal trans cooler not only helps get temps up to operating temperature but does also help with cooling quite a bit. A good internal to external is a great way to go. But that doesn't mean what you have in mind won't work well.

We should be starting on the 6.0 radiator next week, good to hear there's plenty of room to improve it. We always like to add as much cooling as possible, when there's room it makes things much easier.
