Radio question

Got a 2005 F-250 Lariat that i need a factory radio that will work with my steering wheel controls will any factory radio work or is it specific ? Truck has a junk aftermarket one now and I want to go back stock. Found a radio out of a 06 with a 6 disc changer will it work ?

Yes. The mounting is oh so slightly different but you should be able to make it work, I did.

You can use an after market stereo and still use the steering wheel controls I have this with my 05 and pioneer double din

The aftermarket radio is junk anyway just wanna go back stock

I’ve seen a few radios that have 3 plug ins on the back and a few with 2 plug ins on the back and also that have the antenna plug in that are either male or female. Does anyone know off top of there head if a 05 with steering wheel controls has 3 or 2 plug ins on back ?
