Atleast now if there was ever a way to modify the PCM to set these monitors to pass even with the emissions stuff missing, I could still pass inspection because of no sniffers. Hopefully one day

Tell me about it. Not sure what I'm gonna do. Spartan will pass with all the deletes. Just wish someone else could figure out what they are doing to achieve it because they are unwilling to help me out.

Yup, I've dabbled with trying to figure something out... But no programmers/ code writers want to listen. I do this exact same thing with my car. 2006 Mitsubishi and use a ecu flashing software which allows you to "patch" tricks and fixes into the ecu in order to fool the obd2 checking systems. The car passes with flying colors every year even though its never had any emissions equipment on it and I do t have to put it back on to do so. Just wish there was something like that for our trucks, I have no problem paying for it either.

Have you tried just plugging in the EGR and turning it back on in the program see. If so then i would just change the elbow and put a block off plate on it.
I would call one of the tuners, Innovative, Gearhead, RCD, etc. and ask. They hacked the code on the truck to begin with dont know why they cant "Slam" the monitors.

Won't work. Strategy looks for temperature increase in the intake when the valve is open.

Sorry to bring this up from the dead. When you say the H&S doesn't turn the monitor off is that only if you select the tune that says you have no removed the equipment? What about if you have selected the option that emission devices are not present because it's all removed? I believe the status will show incomplete indefinitely?

I'm in Cali. I'm finding out because H&S tune turns off the diagnostic codes related to the monitor they never complete because it doesn't spit out a pass or fail to the monitor. For example if the EGR fails the diag test it throws the DTC codes and the EGR monitor shows complete because it had its result which is a fail.
