Just noticed this oil marking after a 1,500 mile trip. Never having messed with axles, gears, hubs, etc., I want to make sure I'm replacing the proper part. Is the picture an indication of a flange gasket leaking? Simple fix?

Look closer around the axle flange itself. On the DRW trucks there is an o ring seal. Did you recently replace rear rotors? If you paid someone and didn't actually do it yourself, replacing rear rotors requires hub disassembly on DRW trucks. Out of habit, any time I tear the hub off I replace the o ring and inner seal. Not everyone does though. And typically that is the result. You can jack up that side the axle, (letting most the oil go away from that end) and unbolt the axle and replace the o-ring seal or just make your own from permatex. Dont even need to unbolt the wheels.
