I have a 2000 ford f250, ever since I've bought the truck when you make a right turn there is a popping, chatter noise it sounds like from the rear axle. I drained and cleaned the gears NO metal shavings or chunks. Put fresh oil and friction modifier in and it still does it. I'm running out of ideas it could be. It needs shocks could it be that? HELP!!!!

Mine were doing that! I used to use them several times per day and they always worked. Then I stopped driving using the truck and it went to hell quick. I unhooked the ebrake until I can fully rebuild it all. Trucks dont like being driven 30-40k a year and then abruptly switched to grocery getter duty.
