Are the threads all bunged up inside the bar?

Sounds like you guys don't even need to run jam nuts....LOL

Is a jam nut really needed? It's not like the can spin in the fixed position they are

If its there, i figure its all there for a reason myself. Its just to help keep it set where you put iti think.

The jam nut is not there to keep it from turning, it is there to keep the bolt tight in the treads and causing damage to the treads and bolt.
