Just a heads up I ordered some parts to throw the regulator in my truck again I will monitor the effect on rail pressure at different psi marks on the return.... What drove me to do this is with erics extream race I held pressure with my regulator set at 15psi... Later I ripped that off and also swapped my sct for a mini max.. if I run the mini max on anything other then mild it drops pressure within 100' with my 60hp nozzles ... Stay tuned hopefully its a weekend project

I have the airdog pumping strait to the hpfp which is set at 15psi my experiment is going to be regulating the return side of it and seeing its effects

Ever since I havent beenable to hold pressure once again that was a sct with erics extream race... And now its h&s hott Damn tunes... But i mean they dropquick withen 100 feet, on no power and mild it holds 26k I believe wfo

Woops I mean 25k its probably right around 24.5-25 but ill just round up, once again i will do passes and hopefully get some video of rail pressure... At let's say 0,3,9,15psi... If it seems to be better at a lower value I will fine tune to get the most rail pressure

I'm hoping white monster chimes in I think he has 60s like i do and he holds pressure with his elite lpfp if I remember correctly.. and they have a reg for the return

Ok now that makes more sense. Regulating the return is a good idea to.help with rail pressure. I think elite recommends no.more than 20 psi on the inlet side.

Yes I hold rail pressure just fine with 60's, elites lpfs, ported rails and a stock hpfp with 70,000+ miles on the pump. I have my regulator set at 8 psi too

No more than 10psi as per the stage 2 lpfs directions.

Well hell that's good to know.... Thanks a lot... I mean i know my truck held pressure with xrace like yours does(ported rails low pressure system, 60hp, my hpfp has about 80,000 on it)and im skeptical the the h&s tunes run out of fuel so im pointing towards the regulator that is no longer on my truck

Where do the airdogs mount on these trucks? Or is it a custom job? Im holdin rail pressure with no regulator but mine passes through a fuel cooler before entering the tank

fwiw im running dual fuelers 150s and an air dog 150 with no regulated return and its just fine, but im also not asking alot of a single or both pumps to make pressure.

Keep me posted on your findings

JJ, are you planning on keeping the factory fuel cooler with the regulated return

From what Ive read and what Ive seen on all the schematics for fueling on these trucks the return off the hpfs needs to be regulated. If you notice stock everything on the engine thats low pressure intake and return is regulated at like 3psi. I dont know why, but I think thats why you see most people running a regulator with multiple ports and or a regulator "block" and everything including return runs through it and the whole system is regulated at the same psi

What regulator would one use to regulate just the return side? One line in, one line out. And what would you set it at? Ive got mid teens to the hpfp.

If you regulate just the return you want a fuel reg without a return just line in line out, I'm gonna try different numbers but for you and being on the safe side, factory supply and return is regulated at 3psi so i would start there to avoid damage...
