Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself. I am on a few other forums and have been meaning to join up here for a while, as I do come here quite often as a guest and lurk around.
My name is Matt, and I am from Massachusetts. I love all brands of diesel, and appreciate all for what they are, work trucks.
My current rig is a 2003 F350 6.0L 6 speed manual, and contrary to popular belief, I absolutely love this truck. It has been the most reliable, fuel efficient and fun to drive truck out of my last two (12v Cummins and 7.3L powerstroke). Best of all, this truck runs extremely clean for its age, barley blowing any smoke, unlike my other two, which I truly appreciate. Unlike most “kids” my age, I am not interested in “rolling coal”, as I can see this behavior is only hurting us in the form of EGR and DPF equipped trucks.
I will acknowledge that this truck does need to be taken care of much more so than my 7.3 or my Cummins, which I don’t mind, as it returns the favor quite nicely.
Anyway, looking forward to learning from you guys and thanks for all the great info thus far!
