Reving up when cold

Winter just here in Texas and just stumbled apon a problem. Lately when I have been starting the truck to let it warm in the morning the truck has been revving up. When this happens the only way it will stop is if I touch the accelerator slightly. Anybody know what could be causing this? Im think gloplugs

Your truck is going into high idle because of the cold. Just let it warm up and it will kick down on its own. No worries.

Mine did that too yesterday! I was walking back to the house when it kicked up by itself! Never had that happen.I walked back to the truck to see if everything was alright. Texans aren't used to being under 30 degrees. Give me my 105 degree weather back!

Yes it is cold. We spend majority of the year with temps anywhere from 60s-100* it doesn't get down to freezing that often.

Its 32* here in central TX right now raining, sleeting, and snowing.... This crap sucks! I want the 70+ temps we had on Thursday this week.

Not too cold here now, but we can walk "on the water". Had to walk out on the river ice last night to get water for the cabin.

And 40 is cold around here! It was cold enough for my truck to start idling up, so I call that cold lol, maybe not super cold(like tater is used to), but cold.

How does the truck determine it needs to idle up? Ambient temp sensor?

At what temp is it supposed to do so? My trucks done it at around 35-40* ambient temps
