Anyone running these? Wondering how they would work for a fog/driving light in the spot or flood pattern. Are they as bright as advertised?

They look pretty B.A., and would fit nice and subtle in place of where the 99-04 fog lights usually are I think. Seen them on a Raptor yesterday and have me curious.

Thanks guys.

Im running stock fogs and D2's for off and back road driving. They are flood and still way to bright to be used as a fog, and I wouldnt even think about using the spot as a fog.

I do have a pair of regular flood dually's that I will be replacing my fogs with tomorrow if all goes as planned, but if not the diffused lens might be the ticket.

Just to give you an idea of what it'll look like

Thanks for the replies guys.

Another question for you guys and anyone else with an opinion on the subject. I only want 2 lights (to keep it clean, and not go broke), would buying one light with the "spot" pattern, and one with the "flood" be a silly idea? What is the difference between the two, more than just the lens I'm guessing?

I just like the idea of having all light ranges covered, and only running one set of lights.

Thanks, Kyle.

The spot and the flood have different patterns. If only getting 2 just stick with the same pattern. They will put out enough light for you with either style.

Probably getting paid at work to post this from my D1

As stated, stick with one beam pattern. IMO, I would go with the flood. I have all three patterns they have available for the D2's and it is the most useable light. They have a 60* one aswell but that is mostly for backup lights or such. Also, I am a dealer for them. If anyone is intersted in a set, just let me know!

If anything I would be worried about putting out too much light lol.

If hes gonna use them while driving like he says I would not recommend the D2's, I would just use regular duallys with the flood lens.

Thanks guys. Realizing these won't be useable on the road after looking at some pics and videos, no big deal, the Harleys & SilverStars are more than sufficient.

Now trying to decide if I need the D2's for twice the price or not . . .

you may be able to run the dually diffused on the street.

Garrett

The diffused ones actually seem brighter to me when seen from an oncoming traffic viewpoint. Actual light output does not go nearly as far, but would definitely light up the front area of the truck awesome. I just mounted some on my truck as back up lights and havent finished wiring them yet. If you want, I can post some pics after they are wired. No promise on how soon that will be. Its funny how I never have time to work on my own stuff, lol.

Would love to see pics when you get it together.

Think I'm going to order the D2's in the Flood pattern. Should work nice for a bit added light when running backroads and help when pulling someone from the ditch or so.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

If anyone else has pics or experience with these lights, please post up!

Anyone have any pictures of the brackets for the lights? I realize they come with a small mounting bracket, but what did you mount that too?

Thanks

I just picked up a set of the Dually in a spot pattern. Will be going in the stock fog location once I make up a braket. Alot of the Sand Rails run them and they are bright.

will post up some pics once I get them done.

Got an idea to fab up some angle iron for a mount, got that figured. New question . . .

Can the lights be mounted upside down, or is the beam directed in a way that they have to be mounted right-side-up?

Got my D2's locally for $360 w/ taxes & shipping, f'in awesome!
