Got my Wide Beam D2's in today . . . certainly bright! I kind of wish I got the Driving Pattern for added light throw, but these light up the ditches really well. These combined with the Harleys are as much light at a person could need who doesn't run the BaJa, lol.

Lets see some mounting pics and views from inside the truck from all the guys that said they have these.

I wanted the 20" bar but now maybe the 2 Dually D2s will be enough.

The rigid lights are nice and super bright. Another option would be a capped HID light in the factory fog lights, you can get them from Retro and they will put out very good light for less $$ just an option.

Planning on mounting a set to my headache rack and was just looking at the marine grade. Is there any difference in the marine and regular dually? just thought the white would look good on my truck?

Those are D2's. I replaced my foglights with regular duallys last week but don't have a picture. I'll try to get one later.

Gah the new style bumpers are much more "light friendly" than the older trucks. Yours was one of the first setups I saw considering just mounting the D2's instead of fog lights.

Some night pics looking out from the cab would be awesome if you have time.

Did you just fab up a bracket in there?

How did you wire them?

The D2's mount is a square tubing welded to the bumper brackets by a piece of flat iron on each end and the dually's mounts are a piece of I think 2" angle iron with the pattern cut out of part of it to fit onto the other side of each bumper bracket. Also welded. It's hard to explain but if you saw it, it would be real simple.

As for the wiring, the D2's have the hot wires run to the uprights switch #1 and grounds to either the battery or the body. I dot remember but it doesn't matter. And for the dually's which replaced my fogs I just cut off the factory fog light harness ends and the rigid wire harness ends and soldered the rigid ends onto the factory harness. It's just like using factory fogs.

F117 - I'll get some mount and light output pictures for you tomorrow when it's warmer outside.

I got my D2's in the "Wide Beam" pattern. Sometimes wish I had gotten the "Driving Beam", but I'm still very pleased. If it's a hazy or overcast day out, these will still bounce light off of traffic signs on the road, lol.

Its always the simple things that are hardest to explain. I just need to get them and figure it out I think. I was worried about making something because I dont know how to weld, but just found out my buddy does so no more excuses ha.

Thanks for the info. Im glad I can just wire it up using the foglights wiring. I think I want to wire some for reverse lights as well on a mount off the frame on either side.

Thanks man that would be awesome.

So would you switch to the Driving Pattern if you could? Or is it just a "sometimes ah crap I wanted the others" kinda thing?

Will get those pics tonight, sorry for the delay.

I pretty much wish I got the driving beam pattern. Apparently they combine a flood and spot into the same beam, instead of just the "flood" I have. They're still bright and extremely helpful, don't get me wrong. They throw light about as far as my bright beam, but in a WIDE pattern, lol. It lights up power lines overhead and ahead of you by 50ft, and by the time the light output fades to nothing on the road, the beam is about 150ft wide, lol. Probably better for bush wacking or trails at night as opposed to the "driving" beam I should have got. If that makes any sense . . .

Tempted to throw a set of "driving beam" style in the grille or a bar. Just in case I want to see through walls one day.

Hmmm I wonder if the 20" bar with the flood pattern on the edges and driving in the middle would be the best of both worlds?
