Rim offset and lowering question

Use the backspace number for a 10" zero offset wheel as a baseline and you can see how much more or less clearance you'll have with other sizes and offsets.

I've been doing that until I'm blue in the face lol. This is what made me think I could get away with the +12 offset. Using your example earlier in the thread that a 305/45R22 on a 22x10 wheel with a +0 offset will clear on all four corners...

Ok. One last question that might be more opinion than fact. But I gotta ask. Then I'll go off in the corner and make my decision.

With all things being the same as far as the drop and the same brand tire, Toyo Proxy ST2.... How much more rough and noisy of a ride will I get from 305/40r22 vs a 305/50r20?
It will be my daily so I wanna take the ride quality into consideration.

Good question! I have no idea, but I'm hopeful either choice would be quieter than the LTX M/S tires I've been running for the last 200,000 miles.

The 22 will obviously be firmer but IMHO not uncomfortable. It's well worth the trade off in looks alone.

The truck got a facelift due to needing new headlights anyway. I used parts from Hitech Auto Parts... Big eBay vendor but we're actually local. Definitely not own quality parts but very nice none the less. And very affordable if picked up from them. The entire front end including the header panel and all was just a tad over $500. So here is a before and after.
