Rudy's Diesel Season Opener !!

We had right at almost 6,500 people show at the event.

We were not expecting that at all. We are talking about making it a two day event for the fall.

Piedmont is such a great place for us we don't really want to move it any where else.

At the same time if we gain another 3000 people at our next event we will probably have too.

I hope every one had a blast I wish I could have slowed down a little and got the chance to meet up with everyone, hopefully the fall event I will be able to sit down a little more and knock a couple back with some of you guys.

We've been coming down from the eastern shore of MD since the second event at piedmont. Absolutely love it but this time was definitely some dumb****s mixed in. I would hate to see it moved from piedmont, but understand everybody's issues. IMHO I think the atvs/utvs/golf carts/pit bikes should only be allowed for participants not spectators and definitely get a bunch of porta-pottys.

Would a 2 day event be fri-sat or sat-sun? If it was Sunday that would kinda suck considering a ton of ppl travel long distances. I'd rather leave Thursday after work and stay till Sunday morning then drive back, having to drive back all night Sunday and going to work Mon morning would be miserable

That's a big problem with having it a 2-day ordeal. It will become way more expensive and inconvenient for any non-local people (spectators and racers alike) to attend both events, with admission prices, hotel rooms, food, time missed working, etc. And it doesn't fix the overcrowding issues if most people still go to both days (which I suspect they would).

Either way, it was a helluva good time this weekend, and I can't wait for the next one. I'll just be sure to get there a little earlier so I can get a parking spot next time! LoL!

Camping would be pretty cool. Have a big bonfire the night and continue everything the next day. However there probably needs to be a strictly enforced rule of fighting = gone.

That would be why it couldn't happen. They pull it off at nascar events but there's much more money to pay for security there.

It would be awesome, but with seeing how people acted as the sled pulls started I couldn't imagine how reckless it'd get as the night got later.
