Tell them to put an extension on the evaporator case drain, it leaks right onto the dipstick then leaks in through the seal.

I too have found rust when pulling the dip stick out for my trans. You can feel the rough spot when you're pulling it out. I got my truck in the shop now with the cab off getting studs push rods valve springs and a cam so I'm gunna replace the dip stick tube too
