Tsgs69400 I think you and I may have spoke on the phone the other day when you called Full-Race?
OK, now can someone interpret these graphs? Is the 38r a close match to one of the 300's shown? What injectors are a good fit for each, etc.
Glad I could help out. Anything else just let me know.
Liquid,
Someone can by all means correct me here but in my opinion the 38r isn't really a close match to any of the SXE turbos. I feel there is a significant gap between the two classes. While the 38r is a great turbo for a lot of applications and performs very well in a lot of scenarios, I feel the difference between the 38r on a well setup truck and an SXE on the same truck would be very different in terms of power, response, and performance.
I like how we are all on the same page. I also am amazed at how these new turbos and their modern technologies improve on the old and break the molds of previous generations.
I am leaning toward the larger turbine 64.5 with the .91 housing. Does anyone think it may be too restrictive or too slow off the line?
I tried to find them a couple months ago, but couldn't come up with a hi-res version. Corell shows up out of the blue and here we go.Too bad these graphs weren't readily available sooner!
I think there is definitely some gains to be had over the 38r. And I love my 38rs, lol.
