My 66/73/91 with matts pipes and 225/100s rarely ever smokes with matts tunes. Runs 1: back pressure to boost ratio WOT. If the exhaust housing and turbine wheel are proper you wont have back pressure issues.

What exactly do you mean by 'proper'?

Properly sized? Or properly functioning?

I'm still kinda new to the non vgt turbo world. I wanna get it right the first time as I don't want a whole lot of down time trial and error.

Matt ran that setup and liked it, wasnt too laggy either from what he had told me. A larger nozzle is going to wake that charger up a lot quicker though. I have no issues getting mine to light with 100% nozzles.

i honestly wouldn't waste my time running stock nozzles on a 190 injector and a 66mm turbo. Go the extra mile put some larger nozzles on it. I ran a 64/71/70 non vgt with my 190/75 injectors and it was a fun setup. At WOT, boost was at 45psi and back pressure was about 53-54psi. So BP to boost ratio was around 1.2x:1 without the turbo having a wastegate. If i had larger nozzles on my injectors, the ratio along with back pressure would have been higher. The difference between a 66mm compressor to a 64mm compressor isn't gonna change lag much. For example...the turbo lag from a 64/71/70 isn't gonna be much different than a 66/71/70.

depends what housings you want, you can get 66/73/91's for 650 depending where you go, usually around $720 is retail on them. I dont think BW even has a 64 in the catalog anymore, its 62,63,66. If you want a 64/68 and the .83 housing its going to be around 1200.

I just dont see why people dont want to pay the money. Going with a less street able setup because you want to be cheap, doesnt work in this game. I have towed a 24ft enclosed trailer with 225/100s and my 66 on a tow file and did alright on the flats, but over drive towing is out of the question it just runs too hot, I was locked in 4th gear the entire trip running 65mph at the hottest 1000 degrees. Towing 8k with a 66 Isnt really going to happen in my opinion.
