Mine spools ok gotta be above 1500 for it to really take off but it doesn't look like your on 40s either. Where can I get one of those boots for the intake with clamps?

I would go with the 1.0 housing personally. I see backpressure start rising above 2500 RPM with my .90. It only gets about 5-8psi above boost, but I only have 160/100s too. I'm not driving this turbo too incredibly hard...

with the 1.10 on it i am fairly laggy up until about 1800. Running in the hills means alot of 4-5 shifts. this is with a standard tranny. Boost and drive are damn near 1:1 up to 60 psi. great charger, pulls HARD

Thanks for all the info I will be ordering it very shortly just not sure weather to get the 1.0 or .90

It's a 10% difference you will never notice. On these trucks if you notice a difference between a .90 and a 1.0 its like noticing a 5hp increase. The ex housings are only $160 each so if you wanted to change up in the future its easy and quite cheap to do so. The real thing I like is the new S472 FMW but its quite laggy on the street. IMO no better setup then a S468 for a 7.3 performance setup. It'll light with 160/100s all the way up to 350/200s and you'd just have to switch A/R housings. The turbine wheel it comes with is a 83mm so having the smaller wheel when using larger housings aids in spool up. I would just stick with the 1.0 and if need be go larger if you need to. I assume you'd be running your 238/100s in your sig. You'll never need to gate it with those injectors being a 100 over nozzle and your EGTs will be low with proper tuning.

I have a few of these now ready to go with whatever housing you want. We can even have the compressor cover powder coated or polished if you'd like for a small fee. Hope it helps!

Fwiw irate sells these with 1.10 housings not 1.00. Never heard of a 468 with a 1.00

A S468 is a S400 series turbo. The covers and turbine housings are interchangeable. You can buy whats known as a super core and buy the compressor cover and whatever turbine you want. Considering all T4 housings are non wastegated and as long as the turbine housings matches the size of the turbine wheel you can buy it. For example if I bought a turbine housing in a 1.0 A/R in a .86 size turbine wheel I cant put it on a .83 wheeled turbine but it will work on any S400 with a .83 turbine. A boxed 178855 comes from Borg with a 1.10 housing. I bought mine with a .90 to try out. I threw the 1.0 on my pull truck and didn't like it and went up to a 1.25 with the .83 turbine wheel instead. I put the 1.0 on and didn't notice a difference. I'm also playing with it on my pulling truck since my dually engine is apart. So yes you can get a s468 with a 1.0 and if you ordered the from me the price doesn't change. I don't think Irate or anyone else does you just have to ask! I don't know it all by any means but the T4 stuff is new to the Power Stroke world but the Cummins fans have know it all for a while. Sadly we play with those too lol. But I'm native to the 7.3. Many people complain about the Irate mount but honestly I couldn't do one better then they have myself. Borg Warner turbos give you so many options to play with they literally have a turbo for ANYTHING you can need a setup for.

Took mine for its maiden voyage with 238's today. Blew off an intercooler boot, but prior to that it seems to be better than the D66 in every way. Not laggy, and pulls harder and longer on the top end. I had planned on 300/200's in the near future, but I think these 238's will keep me happy for a while.

What housing you go with?

I went with the 1.1. I was expecting it to be a little slower spooling which would push me into getting the 300/200's, but it seems to run very well as is.

I might decide I want more power later, but I'm pretty pleased with it so far. I've only got around 50 miles on it though. Time will tell.

part numbers for the turbine housings for 83mm wheel. as stated it comes with the 1.10
would be cool to have a few to try and see what you like.

I agree, mine is perfectly acceptable, but I'm only running 160/100s. I think with hybrids I would go with a little larger housing and it would probably spool great, just like mine does. Drive would be higher than mine is with those larger injectors. That's all I was driving at.
