I honestly couldn't say because I'm not that savvy with any of this. It looked like the braze weld they usedwhen tapping my egt probe but they assured me it wwasn't since the probe screwed in. Really not sure though still looks like a braze weld to me

Yeah, even permatex copper is only rated to about 700*F. I wouldn't even use permatex red on a 2-stroke.

If the thread-a-let for the EGT probe let loose, the bolts wouldn't have pulled out. And I highly doubt it was braised on there. Who installed the kit? Them using permatex on the flange surface kinda throws up a flag about their knowledge of Diesel engines
