Scan gauge problem

Put a new idm in, buzz test works fine. Now i'm getting codes p1293& 1294 after I run the buzz test

those are rt and lt side highside codes.... you sure your idm is fully connected? Did you use dorman harnesses?

Tried everything posted, still doesn't work. I called the place I bought it from, told them the problem they said they will check into it and get back with me, never did.

I apologize for this...totally my fault I got busy/side tracked and never got back with you. Again I apologize for this

This is the answer I got..

"Usually this is caused by necessary conditions not being met to complete the test, like coolant temp, certain mods that prevent test from being completed."

Those codes sound to me like a pinched wire under the VC or the main plug on the engine wiring harness has corrosion or I had a truck doing the same thing I found several chaffed(sp) wires on the main wiring harness...

Yes i'm sure idm is fully connected, unplugged it and plugged it in a few times.

Dorman harnesses? Never did anything with harnesses, what harness are you talking about?

I'll check all the wires and connections out again.
Don't worry about not getting back with me, I get side tracked all the time:doh:
